This year we have a new team, we have seven home school kids on our team. Mason Anderson, Zack Thompson and me, Brent Downs are the three from Berean. We have had 7 games so far. We had one home game against Springfield Rush we won, therefore we are undefeated at home.
The girls have had nine games so far. They have won four, and lost five. Our very own Coach Duffel is coaching the girls this year. They are doing very well this year.

I don't know what to do this on....So I guess I'll give my opinion on tonsils, if you have them keep them!!! I just got mine out two weeks ago. I didn't think it would be anymore painful than a sore throat, but I was sooooooooooo wrong!! not only does your throat hurt but also your ears and your jaw make you in agony.
I really don't know why ears hurt, but why my jaw hurt I can tell you, they use a apparatus to open your mouth as large as possible, there was a possibility that the apparatus would chip my teeth and cut my lips, but nothing in that nature happened :] ..now the "I don't care medicine" well that stuff made me higher than a kite.
When Coach and Mr. Howerton came to visit me I barley remember, but I do remember showing them my heart rate that I thought was soo funny, Coach laughed at me :/ but I would've laughed if he was high. well just keep in mind that if anyone says "you need your tonsils out..DON'T!!!~Sarah

"Stranded" Editorial
In langauge the freshman and sophomore classes are playing a great litte game called Stranded. I think this is a very fun activity, as well as a great excercise to help the students bond and learn how to strategize and plan things as a group. I am personally enjoying this a lot because it makes us think about what we will do next and we never know what's coming next!
I am a member of the western group, and so far we have done pretty good. We had a chance of escape not too long ago, but sadly we didn't have enough escape point to manage the get-away. We have found a lobster colony also. There always have to be some unfortunate circumstances along with the good ones, we had a cold spell last week, but as a group we pulled through it and kept warm.
In conclusion, this is a great activity to use in classrooms or any other group. It seems like everyone involved is having a great time and wants to continue.

Central group challenge
Well there was a barrel that floated up on shore. It was full of bottles of ink, and it had some paper in it.The paper got wet on its journey to shore. What will we do with the new supplies.
Wendats Challenge
This weeks challenge for the western group is a major benefit. While taking a team stroll along the beach they came upon a colony of lobsters. Looks like this team is going to have a tasty dinner tonight, but they have to come up with a plan to catch them first!
Eastern challenge!!!
Things are looking well for the Eastern group, after another barrel washes ashore and you all get to pick one item from your supply box.

Why do you eat turkey on thanksgiving?
Evan- Thats what the pilgrims ate.
Jaylyn- Because there are a lot of them around.
Faith- Because it's good.
Joal- Because it's giving thanks.
Mr. Kirkland- Because I missed the deer.
Central Group
After a day of working on the raft and caring for sarah a plane flew 5 miles north of where we were staying. Did we have enough escape points to leave this island , we will find out.
Guy's Basketball Tournament
After losing the tournament, the guys are still getting used to playing with their new teammates. With very little varsity players and only right players all together, the guys have to work extra hard if they want to win. They play a home game today and are ready for a victory. Pray that God will help them play to the best of their ability and that they could represent Him by the way that they play.
Eastern Challenge
During the night, a swarm of hammerhead sharks started patrolling off the eastern shore. Turns out that barrel attracted a lot of attention.
Girls tournaments
The girls played in a tournament the 9th through the11th they did very well. They placed fifth out of seven teams. Then last weekend they played in another tournament, they got second place. They did very. They were in the losers bracket and came out to play in the championship game. They played very hard but could not pull off the win. They still brought home a nice trophy.
Boom!
Uh-oh! trouble for the flaming teletubbies! An ironic situation has occured, lightning has struck and started a fire near their camp. I guess they knew what they were doin when they picked their name out! How will the northern group handle the fiery flames? They must be quick to get the fire out before it destroys everything!
Western Challenge
The western group has some rough times ahead of them, they have a cold spell coming up. The wendats will have to come together and overcome this challenge as a team and work together to figure out what to do to prevent their camp from freezing over. What will they do?

Boys Games
The boys have started their games this year. Their first game was at the YMCA in Carthage against Victory Christian Academy. BCA lost by one point but fought hard. The second game was against Aurora Christian Academy. They also lost that game by one point. The boys then played against Victory again in Carthage and lost 27 to 43. The boys had a rough game with four of their starters fouling out. They are pumped and ready to play in the tournament in Arkansas this weekend the 19th and 20th. They will be playing five games within two days. Pray that God will give them strength to play and to be a witness in the way they play.
The Nutty North
The Northern group went on a long food hunt after devouring the tuna and found a large coconut grove. Enjoy the luscious nut.
The Central group!!
Good news for the Central Group, floating logs was apon our shore....will this help the group tho have more escape points? ....we'll find out!:)
Western Journey
After building a raft, the Westerners rowed around for a while and came across a lobster colony. There will be some good eatings tonight.
The Eastern challenge!!
The Eastern group's luck is turning around for the better when a floating barrel comes washing ashore. Does this mean a escape for the Eastern crew, we'll see!!!

The West Quest
The West Wendats have been surviving wonderfully. They missed a boat that passed by, but recovered a swiss army knife it had dropped in the water. The Wendats have built a nice shelter made from rocks and trees. The only problem they have right now is battling rainy weather. Will their handmade hut holdout? Or will it crash to the ground, forcing these Westerners to rebuild?
''Northern Group challenge''
Well a tuna came up close to shore when the tide was up. When the tide went down there was a
pool of water on the beach, and a tuna was in the pool of water. What are you going to do take the risk of trying to catch this tasty meal, or let it go.

Northern Quest
The first night is setting in for the Flaming Tell-uh-tub-eees. Setting camp in the mountains by an abundant water supply was a smart move. But nature has other plans. The harsh winter ceased the flow of the life sustaining spring and affected both the North and the Central part of the mysterious island. While the Central still has another water supply, the Northern Flaming Tell-uh-tub-eees have lost their only supply of water. They will have to use their survival instincts and resources to withstand this disaster.
Eastern camps challege.
The challenge for the East group is a weather challenge, this is a very hard challenge to go through a cold spell is coming your way!! but that's not the last of you're worries! a hurricane is next in line. better get ready!!
Central Group
We had a cold spell come in and then a hurricane came in from the south! Then the northern groups only spring dried up. That is the spring that runs into our part of the island. So we will have to move from our spot and find water and ''FAST''.
Western Wendat's Challenge!
The western area of the island got a great challenge the first time around. We have a ship passing by five miles south of the islad at night. They have a great opportunity to escape, but must have atleast five escape points. Do they have enough? If not, they can still start planning for the next opportunity the Wendat's have to escape!
