The Word Of The Day!
Austin and I once again went on an extravaganza across the mighty school of Berean Christian Academy asking people what another word meant. This time the word was "Brobdingnagian" and this might just be the hardest....most difficult word that we have ever asked the defintion for. Here are the results:
Coach- What in the world?! I don't know, but it sounds perverted... Get away from me!
Chase- Annoying
Shelby- Uhh annoying? (great minds think alike)
Mrs. Amy- The sound a woman makes expressing her distress.
After all these mortal humans failed at guessing the definition of the word, we asked our amazingly faithful and loyal Bus. And the Bus answered with...
The Bus- Huge! Just like me.
Amzingly, the bus answered correctly! In fact that is the exact definition of Brobdingnagian. Join Austin and me next time for the word of the day.

What do you think fulgerent means?
Austin and I went around the school today asking people what the word of the day meant. Now you may remember that Austin and I did something like this last year. In fact, this is exactly the same thing we did last year. But anyway, let's get to the responses. Keep in mind the word is...fulgerent.
Zack- "something to do with trees"
Chase- (you all remember we always have to include Chase in these questions) "hmmm I think it means sad."
Ashtyn- "filtered" (that wasn't a very good answer)
Abi- "It has to do with coffee because of the Folgers coffee company."
Holder- "something nasty"
Well now that we have all those answers, let's tell the actual meaning. Fulgerent-flashing like lightning. We look forward to the next word of the day. Until then, stay frosty.

The Sad Story
"GET OUT YOU DUMB MUTT"
I had made my human very angry. But I swear, it wasn't my fault. That stupid cat was taunting me and just asking for me to chase him. Unfortunately, our home wasn't big enough for me to run around without breaking a lamp, table, and the tv. When my human got home, I recived a good beating and then was thrown into the night. It was cold, and dark, but I decided it was time for me to move on. So I started walking and by daybreak I was walking along a highway. I know this wasn't a smart move, but I knew if followed it long enough I would end up somewhere that someone would want me. It was approximately 7:50 am when the incident happened.
I was just trotting down the highway when I heard something in the bushes beside me. I was so scared I forgot about the fact that I was walking along the highway and jumped into the street just in time to get hit by a white SUV. I saw my life flash before my eyes and fade into a bright white light. And that is how I died.

Word of the DAD-GUM Day
What's up BCA!? Today, Dakota and I went around the school asked what the word "versicolor" meant. Here are our answers:
Chase- "a type of instrument"
Nat- "no color"
Coach- "no idea..."
Mr. Holder- "changeable colors"
The word meant "changeable in color", so Mr. Holder got it right :D... So we'll see ya next time on the word of the day post!

See you at the pole
There is just something special about young people worshiping the Lord, something about the innocence and sincerity that warms the heart. See you at the pole is a nationally recognized day where schools allow prayer openly, if only for a short amount of time. Once most of our student body was present that cool morning. we proceeded to the flag poles to begin our service. As we pledged our allegiance to God and our country, each individual voice coming together in melodious unity, the flags were raised on at a time. After we finished the pledge to the Bible our extremely talented praise team lead us in the Star Spangled Banner. We stood there with our hands over our hearts looking up at the majestic American flag being guided back and forth by the gentle breeze. I thought, as I'm sure others did, of how truly blessed I was to live in such a wonderful country. After we finished the paying tribute to those who protect our country and us, we worshiped the Lord in song and prepared our hearts for the word about to be presented. Brother Joe Lay brought the very stirring and to the point message, which. I'm sure did us all some good, as I know it did me. Following the message, Coach said a few words and then closed in prayer. The younger children were the dismissed and 7th through 12th grades asked to stay for prayer. Zack quickly made it clear that if we were not going to pray with everything in us we would be better off to go inside. No hard were meant he just wanted this to be a special and sincere time. No one left, not a single person. Zack looked pleased and the took a knee near the American flag, and was soon joined by others. After I finished praying, I stood and thought” How blessed am I ?” as I looked around at my fellow class mates on bended knee humbly praying. See you at the pole has always been a special time for me, the school, and the Nation, and hopefully always will be.

Sarah's Birthday!
Normally this would be the time where I would introduce a movie that I have recently seen, tell about the good, tell about the bad, and then criticize this movie as much as I can just because I can. Well...unless it's a movie about Batman, then I would just say what I love about it...which would be everything. But I feel that I need to take the time to tell you that yesterday was Sarah Baker's birthday. Now normally I wouldn't care all too much if it was someone else's birthday. But the reason I'm telling you this is because Sarah and her parents bought the whole high school pizza and soda (which we never are allowed to have) as well as cake. So for this I say thank you Sarah Baker and to your parents I say thank you also. So if you ever want your birthday to be posted on the blog like Sarah's is, just remember to buy the high school pizza, and then I would be more than happy to write about it.

Lunch Review-
So, we had an amazing lunch Thursday! We had hot dogs, with or without chili, chips cookies and pink lemonade. I didnt try the hot dogs, due to the fact that Im pretty much ANTI hot dog, but I heard they were scrumptious. We some kind of crazy Lary the cable guy chips. They were either barbeque or hamburger(personally I couldnt tell the difference they were equally disgusting to me). They even had some sort of phrase that you would hear come out of Coachs mouth, you know like" mighy fine eatin" or some such nonsence. The pink lemonade was a little waterry but I managed to choke it down. All in all I give the luch the fillong grade.
Class: 0 (really Lary the cable guy?)
Yummunyness factor:81/2 ( most of what I think is nasty other people love)
Beauty factor: F (hot dogs ewwwwwwww)
Effort: A ( the basjet ball team rocks)
All in all It was a good lunch and a special thanks to the athletics club who did everything :) and Coach who Im sure did something.

The Anti Fairytale
Once upon a time there was a princess named Alivia. She lived in a big castle in the middle of a big enchanted forest and she had everything she could ever want, except for a prince. Every night and every day Alivia just dreamed about finding her prince, but no one ever came to visit her so she didn't think she would ever find him. One day, Alivia decided to take matters into her own hands and run away from the castle to find her prince. As she traveled into the town, she began to realize she wasn't fit for the outside world and became scared. She decided to go back to the castle, but couldn't find her way. She tried to ask for help, but no one wanted to help her so she just started walking. By the time the sun went down, she was in the middle of the enchanted forest. It was dark and she was alone and didn't know what to do. So she laid down to sleep and froze to death in the night. THE END.

The screaming blues pedal is a distortion/overdrive pedal that is very versatile for many types of music. I pesonally like it for worship music. Its not very heavy, but pesonally like it.
